Brent Peterson is co-founder and Chair of the Work Itself Group. He is a sought-after and compelling keynote speaker, author, and advisor on strategy, alignment and execution as well as an advocate for education and training that makes a difference to people and organizations. Brent speaks and consults with companies and audiences around the world.

Corporate Leader

As a business leader Brent is the founder and owner of three consulting companies. He has a wealth of corporate experience, holding positions such as:
  • CEO of the Apollo Consulting Group, affiliated with the University of Phoenix.
  • Senior Vice President for the FranklinCovey Company and directed their Center for Research and Assessment.
  • Senior partner and founder of Organizational Associates
  • Senior consultant with Phoenix Associates of Tokyo, Japan, and H. B. Konsultation of Stockholm
  • Director of the Professors Network of ASTD and has presented many seminars to that organization.
He has created, owned, and developed several companies in the training and development industry.
  • TrueNorth Corporation, delivered and presented corporate educational programs using the delivery method of personal coaching, acquired by FranklinCovey.
  • Prime Learning International, trained and developed staff personnel. Prime offered approximately 200 seminars per month around the world, sold to Alamo Learning Systems.
  • SyberVision Seminar Systems, developed, marketed, and presented seminars to the general public as well as to corporate America.

Educator

Brent has a rich history as an educator in such institutions as the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University (Professor emeritus), Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, the Nyal D. McMullin Professor of Entrepreneurship, and taught at the University of Puget Sound (Washington), University of Montana, University of Utah, and Ohio University.

Brent has authored and co-authored over 20 books:

Personal

Brent lives in the Rocky Mountains with his wife Arlene. He has three children and six grandchildren. He plays golf to maintain his sanity
